Welcome to Barbara A. Harvey Elementary School! My name is Ms. Darlene Henry and I am so excited to be working with your children. I am a Florida native. I grew up here in Manatee County. I have been teaching for 10 years in the County. I taught Kindergarten for 7 years and First Grade for the last 4 years. I grew up playing school with my sister when I was young and knew right away that teaching was my passion. Interesting that we both are teachers! I have 2 children, a daughter and a son. I have 2 cats named Anna and Remy. They are quite spoiled! I love reading, dancing and spending time with family and friends. I am excited to get to know your students and encourage and challenge them to reach for their goals and maybe even exceed them.
